BIO

I was born in New York City in 1962 and have lived in California, Miami, and now Atlanta, Georgia. After earning my B.A. in Electronic Engineering in 1984, I entered the rapidly expanding world of computer R&D. Being part of the technological revolution was both thrilling and inspiring, and looking back, it’s remarkable to see how far things have come. That same year, while working at Apple, I witnessed the introduction of the Macintosh. Experiencing this new and groundbreaking way of using technology firsthand was an incredible privilege. I was also fortunate to always have access to the latest, most advanced computers. I vividly remember working in labs with thermally cooled systems running at speeds that seemed unimaginable at the time. This exposure gave me the opportunity to truly understand how computers operate, both in logic and design. Combined with my foundation in digital electronics and microprocessor technology, it allowed me to grow rapidly as both an engineer and technician. In the early 1990s, I worked with several manufacturers developing new mobile computing systems—what would eventually evolve into modern laptops. At the time, we were designing compact briefcases containing computers and thermal printers, enabling sales representatives to bring the office directly to the client. That vision of mobility became the blueprint for where personal computing would go. As technology advanced, so did new creative possibilities. For me, none were more exciting than the emergence of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). With my background in classical music, I quickly began producing and recording with the help of my computer and a Teac 3440 reel-to-reel recorder. Over the past 35 years, I’ve written and produced more than 45 albums across a wide variety of styles. Along the way, I taught myself to play many instruments and refined my skills an instrumentalist, a composer, producer as well as recording engineer. Much of my life has been spent in the studio, building a large and diverse body of work. I remain passionate about writing and composing, and I believe the future holds the opportunity to collaborate with the right partners to create even more exceptional music.
