Welcome to

'Creekdale Venetian Friends and Neighbors'

Creekdale Venetian Friends and Neighbors, (CVFN), is to create a safe and supportive environment for all members of our community. To meet neighbors, create friendships, and alert members of safety concerns and possible criminal activity in and around our neighborhood. Also, to become involved directly in events and projects that serve our community and residents. This is not a political group or a platform. We prefer to keep politics out of this forum. Our focus will only be on topics that directly impact our neighborhood

‘JOIN US’ on Facebook Groups HERE and become part of the conversation!  Meet new friends and your neighbors. You can also email us at creekdalefriendsga@gmail.com

Joining our Group

Our group corresponds for the most part on the Facebook page. You can find a link to ‘JOIN US” at creekdalefriends.com. There is NO cost to join! We do NOT solicit or spam in anyway, and our Facebook group is private. This means it is not listed on any directories and cannot be found through public searches. Your correspondences as well as home addresses are completely private, and can only be seen by neighbors who have access to the page - if you post your information. We limit membership to only residents and friends of residents who have an interest in our neighborhood. We also use security measures to maintain privacy.

Why Facebook and not Nextdoor?

We do not use Nextdoor for communications, as it is not localized enough for our specific needs. We desire our group to be easy to get information for Creekdale, Venetian Estates & Milam Circle. Most of our events are within walking distance. Although Nextdoor does allow the search features and filters to find members in our neighborhood, these filters are not always easy to operate. We have found the FB page to be very simple and streamlined.

Events and Community

We have a pet database, at least 3-4 major events each year, as well as various pop-up events hosted by residents. Various events have included creek clean-ups, many backyard fires, chalk art in the cul-de-sac, potluck events, neighborhood wide yard sales and litter clean ups.

Coyote Activity Alert !

We are experiencing an uptick of activity from coyotes in our neighborhood. We have included information you may find helpful with this link: LINK HERE

We would like to ask people to please pay close attention to the ‘Hazing’ part of this handout. We have had coyotes wander onto residences’ porches, and we feel that they are becoming a bit too bold. Giving them a bit of a scare might make them a bit more hesitant to approach people and pets in our neighborhood.

Contact and Email

For those who are not on Facebook, we have created an email address so that you can sign up and be informed of events and any major concerns or announcements. The email address is:  creekdalefriendsga@gmail.com

Since our neighborhood does not have a centralized location for fliers or posting on a billboard, we are for the most part social media operated, with occasional signage at the entrances to our neighborhood.

‘JOIN US'

Our slogan is “JOIN US”.  We are not financially motivated, and only have the desire to create and maintain a wonderful neighborhood community where you can meet friends and make new acquaintances. Upon occasion, we have asked for donations as needed to purchase supplies for specific events.

When signing up, you will be asked to answer a few easy questions about our neighborhoods and enter the code listed on the flier or card that you received for this page. This is to protect our community from Spam and advertisements. We are a private group and we try diligently to protect the privacy of our residents. If you do not have a code, no worries. Just leave blank. It will take a little longer to be accepted as we will need to verify your request to join.
